The module allows a college or university to create a focal point for social media engagement on their public website.
OU Mashup was introduced to customers at the 2014 OmniUpdate User Training Conference in March. Marketing attendees immediately saw the benefit. One college has already implemented the module, and several others are in the process.
OU Mashup uses feeds from an institution's social networks to gather, curate (if desired), and display content. Networks include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Flickr, and more. This real-time, collective display makes it much easier and faster for web and mobile site visitors to view and engage in an institution's social efforts. Visitors can toggle between the social networks if they wish to view them separately.
