The weeks after OUTC ends are always bittersweet. It is during these weeks that it hits me hard — we have to wait an entire year until we are all gathered together again.
It is also during these weeks that I think about all of the fabulous memories made and all of the new friends I had the opportunity to get to know during the conference. That’s when it hits me. OUTC isn’t only about sharing exciting product information — though we’re all giddy about the release of OU Insights. That is one cool module, my friends. OUTC isn’t only about epic parties — though Monday’s Roaring ‘20s Hollywood Dinner Party was a blast. Gangsters, dancers, champagne, oh my! OUTC isn’t only about presentations and workshops — though so much information was shared that my brain might explode. I’m afraid to sneeze.
More importantly than any of those things, OUTC is about community. It’s the perfect chance to come together, to learn from one another, to share experiences, and to create life-long bonds. At OUTC, connections are made with like-minded people whose experiences mirror your own — connections that you can call upon for support, ideas, and camaraderie throughout the entire year. OUTC is also where we at OmniUpdate hear your ideas, learn about your needs and wishes, find out about your challenges and struggles, and discover how we can help contribute to your successes. It’s where we gain in-depth knowledge about your experiences and start innovating. Ultimately, it’s where we shape the future of the product together.
OUTC is both a launch pad and touchpoint for this incredible community. It’s not just a one-time event. It’s a reflection of the community that exists all year long. So, whenever the sadness starts setting in, I just remind myself that although the conference may have come to an end, our long journey together continues. Needless to say, I can’t wait for our next reunion.
