OmniUpdate Closes 2009 with Record Sales Revenue

Portfolio Enhancements and Software as a Service Drive Accomplishment

Camarillo, CA January 27, 2010 — OmniUpdate, Inc., the leading web content management system (CMS) provider for higher education, announced today that 2009 marked another year of record sales revenue for the company. The trend indicates that investment in technology remains important despite concerns about the economy.

Twenty-eight new clients were signed during 2009, and existing customers increased their service levels or lengthened their service terms. New clients include Tennessee State University, Chattanooga State Community College, Community College of Rhode Island, Dutchess Community College, Nassau Community College, East Central College, University of North Dakota, The College at Brockport, The University of Texas at Tyler, Western Illinois University, Planetary Science Institute, and State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.

The company focused heavily on product development during 2009. Clients benefited from 12 product releases, containing 16 major capabilities and a large number of feature enhancements. New capabilities include Stale Page Reminder, Enhanced Template Control File (TCF) Functions, Short URLs, Source Editor with Syntax Highlighting, MultiEdit, Image Editor, Custom Reporting, Recycle Bin, Global Find and Replace, Multi-Output Preview, Dynamic Page Regions, Media RSS, Reassign Pending Approvals, Public Key Authentication, File Type Restrictions for Directories, and Regex Controls.

OmniUpdate's CMS can be deployed either on a campus server or through Software as a Service (SaaS). Increased interest in SaaS and cloud computing has resulted in a spike in new client inquiries, which bodes well for the company in 2010 and beyond.

Lance Merker, President and CEO of OmniUpdate, states, "Institutions are wrestling with budget cuts and looking for new ways to control costs, become more agile, and make better use of their internal resources. An enterprise-class SaaS CMS with an intuitive user interface can help achieve these goals, and we are proud of our track record in providing innovative web tools and exceptional service to the higher education marketplace."
