OmniUpdate Joins the SunGard Higher Education Collaborative

Relationship Aims to Help Improve Web Content Management for Colleges and Universities

Camarillo, CAFebruary 4, 2011 — OmniUpdate and SunGard Higher Education are working together to help make it easier for higher education institutions to manage their vast web properties and deliver timely and accurate information to their online audiences.

As a new member of the SunGard Higher Education Collaborative, a formal network of companies committed to providing high-quality solutions tailored to the needs and requirements of higher education institutions, OmniUpdate will offer enterprise-class web content management system (CMS) options to SunGard Higher Education customers. Collaborative members work closely with SunGard Higher Education, taking advantage of specially designed tools and training to give institutions a high degree of confidence in Collaborative member solutions.

A strong web presence is increasingly important for maintaining a university's reputation, research, and teaching quality. The online experience is fundamental to student service and recruitment, helping to attract quality local and international prospects and improve engagement with current students and staff. At the same time, institutions are facing shrinking budgets and increasing demands, which intensify the need to optimize resources and consolidate services. OmniUpdate's OU Campus™ web CMS, combined with SunGard Higher Education's digital campus solutions, will provide these institutions with the web tools they need to help reduce the burden on IT staff and improve the quality and quantity of web content.

"Keeping web information consistent, relevant, accurate, and timely can present a significant challenge. We are pleased to collaborate with OmniUpdate to provide our customers with more options that address these challenges and help improve institutional performance," said Rhett Burnham, Vice President, Product Management, SunGard Higher Education.

Michael Monina, Vice President of Sales at OmniUpdate, added, "We are pleased to be working with SunGard Higher Education. We look forward to servicing the needs of their customers and helping to create more manageable websites that provide an exceptional user experience for their site administrators, contributors, and visitors."

OmniUpdate plans to participate in the annual SunGard Summit user conference, March 20–23, 2011, in New Orleans. The OmniUpdate session will focus on web content migration to OU Campus and is scheduled for 4:00–5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 22.
