OmniUpdate Releases Version 10.10 of the OU Campus Content Management System

Higher Ed Software Company Simplifies Content Management with New Components Feature

Camarillo, CADecember 21, 2018—OmniUpdate, the leading web content management system (CMS) provider for higher education, has released version 10.10 of its OU Campus™ CMS. Version 10.10 marks the release of Components, a new feature that simplifies management of content in complex design elements, making it easier for non-technical CMS users to update and interact with technical assets on their college or university website.

Components utilize form-based content, giving web developers leverage to build intricate designs while making it intuitive for content editors to change the information in those designs. Editors are guided to enter specific content and the design formatting is done "behind the scenes,” thus eliminating the need for non-technical users to understand code and programming languages.

“The new Components feature is the direct result of feedback from our customers,” said Lance Merker, President and CEO of OmniUpdate. “Our customers have some truly elaborate websites and Components allow them to give their content editors the power to manage the content of those elaborate sites without the worry of breaking code and compromising design.”
